When Is Karthi Puja Performed at Kateel? Timing, Benefits and Questions
ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ · ನವೀಕರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ
Kateel’s Karthi Puja occurs during daily Mahapuja, with a separate observance on monthly Sankranti. Confirm your booking against that temple schedule; a preferred weekday or festival does not establish a private slot.
This distinction is useful for families planning remotely: first understand when the named seva occurs, then choose an occasion that can fit the confirmed arrangement.
Read the temple’s timing note carefully
The official Kannada timing note is the reference for this distinction. When contacting the team, state which arrangement you intend and request confirmation before making attendance plans.
Sankranti in this context is a monthly calendar occurrence, not solely the January festival commonly called Makar Sankranti. If that observance matters to your family, ask for the temple’s intended date and the available arrangement before planning participation.
How do Tuesdays, Fridays and Navratri fit?
The Divine Hindu listing names Tuesdays and Fridays as customary Devi-worship choices and Navratri as a special season. Those are reasons a devotee may wish to offer prayer; they do not replace the temple-specific Karthi schedule.
During a festival, ask what can actually be arranged under that service name. A Karthi Puja does not automatically become a nine-day Navratri observance, a full Chandi Path or a private evening ceremony because the requested date falls in Navratri.
Thanksgiving and family occasions
A devotee may wish to thank Durgaparameshwari after completing a personal vow or mark a birthday or anniversary. The intention can be stated simply, without requiring an extravagant ceremony.
If the desired day is unavailable, decide whether participation on a confirmed temple date still suits that intention. Do not announce a ceremony to relatives as happening on an exact anniversary until the arrangement is settled.
What benefits do devotees seek?
Families seek the Devi’s blessings, protection and peace, or express gratitude. A modest offering can give a prayer a concrete form: light is presented, food is offered and time is given to devotion.
Traditional language about fulfilment of wishes belongs to faith. It should not be understood as a guarantee that the seva will produce money, a particular relationship outcome or medical recovery. A prayer can accompany the practical care and decisions that a family needs.
Questions before arranging the seva
Is Karthi Puja restricted to Kartik month?
Do not infer that from the similar spelling. The official note describes a recurring temple observance. Kartik-month lamp worship and the Tamil Karthigai Deepam festival have their own contexts.
Can relatives participate without travelling?
The Divine Hindu arrangement confirms remote feasibility, date and names before processing. It is not an automatic promise that every desired date is available without attendance.
Will we receive prasad or a private recording?
This listing does not send prasad home or promise a private ritual video. It provides a temple receipt or WhatsApp confirmation, with photographs only where allowed. The temple’s own description of a prasad item does not create a courier commitment in a separate provider’s service.
Can we combine it with food or education support?
Meal sponsorship, Annadana, Vidyadana and Nandini Go Seva are listed as optional additions, each requiring its own arrangement. Choose these separately; the base puja does not silently include them.
