Ratti Carat Converter

Gemstone weights may be described using carats or ratti. Before comparing two listings, confirm the unit and the actual weight stated for each stone. Use the guidance below to compare the weights shown on product listings.

Understand a metric carat

One metric carat equals 200 milligrams, or 0.2 grams. Carat measures weight, so it should be considered alongside a stone’s dimensions and other listed specifications. See the Gemological Institute of America’s explanation of carat weight.

Check a weight quoted in ratti

Ask the seller to state the weight in carats or grams and explain the ratti measure used for that product. If you are checking a Divine Hindu item, contact our team with the product link and the weight shown. Explore our gemstone collection for individual product specifications.
