What is Narasimha Abhishekam?
During an abhishekam, the priest bathes the deity's image in a series of sacred offerings, chanting mantras throughout. At Dharmapuri the priests offer it to Lakshmi Narasimha, a form of Vishnu. Traditionally the offerings include water, milk, curd, honey, ghee, tender coconut water and sandal paste, offered in the order the temple prescribes.
