About this puja
Navgrah Shanti Pooja honours the nine planetary deities of Vedic astrology, from Surya to Ketu, with beej mantras, offerings and a havan. The sankalp carries the name and gotra you provide, and Divine Hindu's pandits perform the rite. Devotees often choose it when seeking peace and balance at a turning point in life.
What is Navgrah Shanti Pooja?
Surya, Chandra, Mangal, Budh, Guru, Shukra, Shani, Rahu and Ketu make up the Navgraha, the nine grahas of Vedic astrology. A Navgraha Shanti puja, spelt Navgrah Shanti Pooja here, invokes all nine together instead of a single planet. In this service the pandits recite the beej mantra, a short seed-syllable mantra, for each graha. Offerings and a havan, the sacred fire ritual, follow as the service describes. The whole observance is dedicated through a sankalp in the name and gotra you share.
Why devotees book it
- A traditional remedy when an astrologer finds several planets weak or afflicted in the kundli
- Seeking balance and peace as a new planetary dasha begins in your chart
- Prayer for well-being before a big step such as a wedding, a new venture or griha pravesh
- Looking for calm and steadiness at a turning point in life
When to book
Families often arrange a Navgraha shanti when a new dasha begins. It is also chosen before a wedding, a new venture or griha pravesh, the move into a new home. Some keep it during an eclipse (grahan) or on a muhurat chosen by the pandit. The date is then confirmed with you on WhatsApp by our team.
