Meaning and tradition
In Hindu tradition, the Trishul and the Damroo are linked with Lord Shiva. The Trishul is his trident, and the Damroo is his small drum. Many devotees wear a Shiva symbol on the wrist as a sign of daily devotion.

A kada is traditionally worn on the right wrist. Turn the Trishul outward, so the design reads upright to anyone facing you.
